Causes of Chronic Disorganization*
NSGCD states that disorganization can be caused by a number of situations and/or conditions, and it may be situational or chronic. Situational Disorganization usually occurs as a result of a temporary transitional period following a change in one's life (e.g. birth of a child, divorce, new job, death of a loved one, relocation, etc.).
