AD/HD coaching is a unique type of Life Coaching. Typically speaking, a well-trained ADHD coach has general life coaching skills in addition to extensive knowledge and specialized training in Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD). AD/HD coaching is specifically designed to meet the needs of the client with AD/HD and addresses the everyday challenges associated with living with this neuro-biological condition. AD/HD coaching helps the client to make positive changes and live a less chaotic and more fulfilling life--this is the essence of achieving order and balance.
Specifically, AD/HD coaching helps the client to:
AD/HD is a very complex neuro-biological disorder. It affects every aspect of an individual's life. The AD/HD coaching process allows the coach and client to gain awareness and insight about how AD/HD symptoms impact different areas of the client’s daily life and how life impacts ADHD symptoms. It is a comprehensive approach--meaning it focuses on several different areas of the client's life, not just one single area of concern.

What does AD/HD coaching typically involve? Order and Balance, LLC offers the following customized AD/HD coaching services:
Regular meetings and check-ins are an important part of the AD/HD coaching process. Coaching sessions can be conducted, in-person, by phone, or via email or skype, depending on the client's preferences and needs. The coaching process begins with an initial 1 1/2 to 2 hour "Discovery Session" to discuss the client's goals, values, needs and expectations, as well as the terms of the coaching relationship. After the initial Discovery Session, the coach and client meet regularly to address the client's agenda, or specific area of focus.
The Order and Balance, (R) approach to ADHD coaching is very goal-oriented, strengths-based, and solution-focused. Throughout the coaching processing, the coach and client will employ a number of different coaching tools and strategies. Commonly, the coach will ask questions to help the client come up with their own solutions and take action.
